The female flea lays her eggs on the host, which then hatches into larvae before becoming an adult flea.
Cat fleas can transmit parasites and infections to dogs, cats and even to people.  Bartonella, murine typhus, apedermatitis. tapeworm Dipylidium caninum transmitted when an immature flea is swallowed by pets or people.
It is so important to keep up a regular flea treatment for your pets and around the home.
